Why Stay In When You Can Go Out?

That might seem a funny question as the icy arctic winter descends upon us. Until the cabin fever sets in around mid-January, I suspect most people aren't looking for an excuse to leave their cosy homes. But see, that's kind of unfortunate when you are running a real (as in not virtual) store.

We understand you have a lot of movie watching options available to you these days. Some folks are even proclaiming the imminent death of the video store... well, we think that might be a little premature. After all, we're still more affordable then Video On Demand, and our selection is better than theirs and Netflix's put together.  Plus, The Videodrome offers some things the virtual world just can't. Like real customer service, and perhaps even a sense of community. Because the owners of The Videodrome live right here in snowy Edmonton.

And if you really want the convenience of movies without leaving the home, you can always try out our Rent By Mail option.

We realize the industry is changing, and we're ready to change with it. We just need your help deciding which direction to go in. We'll continue to offer the greatest selection of movie rentals in town, but we also want to branch out. So, staying in the realm of film/televison/entertainment, what would you like to be able to find at The Videodrome? I guess what we're really asking is, in a world where you can get almost everything via the internet, what's worth leaving the house for?
